I just happened to come upon a recent article by Frank Mickadeit in the OC Register that revealed some news about Doc. Here’s some of what Mickadeit had to say:
I’ve not been able to learn much about the fate of Greg Rhodes other than that he continues to be involved in education in some capacity, but I have good news about art history scholar Eric “Doc” Hansen.
He has been hired to develop religious education programs for the Magis Institute, a group of Catholic business leaders who promote spirituality through lectures, pilgrimages and retreats.
Among other things, Hansen will offer a six-part lecture series in 2008, beginning Feb. 11 at the Pacific Club with a talk on “C.S. Lewis and the Mystery of Love.”

Well, that’s certainly encouraging to hear that Doc is doing well. And for anyone who’s concerned about Mr. Rhodes, I have heard from several extremely reliable sources that he’s doing just fine.
While it looks like two of the school’s greatest teachers may be gone forever, I’m at least happy to hear that they are both doing quite well.
